16U Charlton Gets Invite To Exhibition Game At Cascade Nationals Kick Off

July ’25 – Lacey, WA – As a result of winning the 2025 USSSA State Championship, the WA Avengers 16U Charlton team was invited to kick off the USSSA Cascade Nationals Championship Tournament by playing in an Exhibition Game against the 18U State Championship team, PAC Fastpitch.  The game was part of the Opening Day festivities for this National Tournament.  While not participating in the tournament itself (instead playing at USA Softball 16A/B State Championships), Charlton’s squad agreed to participate in this friendly exhibition.  There were large crowds gathered, a traveling 4-person Div 1 umpire crew, pre-game team introductions and a PA announcer commentating on the live action.  Though taking a 3-8 loss to a hard-hitting opponent,it was a fun night of ball and a great kick-off for the 4-day national event.
